Skin-picking disorder is an impulse control disorder characterized by the repeated urge to pick at one's own skin, often to the extent that damage is caused. The goal was to capture the disease as clearly and credibly as possible in the medium of traditional painting, at the same time not losing the emotional connection. The three paintings represent the most widespread manifestations of the disorder’s components - face, neck, chest and arms.
